These dictionaries are going to start my second graders on the foundation skills they need to look up unknown words. In a small group setting students will be taught how to look up their spelling, high frequency and key words for the week. These skills will be essential to their learning in third grade. We want to set their future up for success! These dictionaries will not only be used in the small groups but be available to students at all times to look up unknown words. This project will help my students expand vocabulary, learn how to spell words correctly, help them recognize alphabetical order, know the meaning of new words and learn skills needed for their future.

About my class
