The students in my classroom come from a variety of backgrounds and have diverse needs. They have faced many challenges in their young lives. They all crave information and love to hear about books and the world. The students love to have choices in their learning activities and enjoy sharing their learning with one another. We are a Reggio Emilia-inspired school. We use our natural surroundings to inspire us. The students' interests help guide instruction in addition to standards. The school is comprised of preschool-seventh grade. It has a diverse student population of races, cultures, and socioeconomic levels.
