Lockdowns and evacuations are a frightening reality in schools today. Emergency protocools are practiced and reviewed every school year to help better prepare ourselves and our students. As an educator, I have the responsibility to ensure the physical, emotional, and mental safety of my students. Questions always arise. What will we eat if we get hungry? What if I have to go to the bathroom? How can we stay quiet for so long?
Having access to supplies in my classroom will help to ease fears during a difficult and scary situation. Please consider donating to our classroom emergency supplies that will not only ease the concerns of my students but myself as well. We can only hope that they never have to be used!
