I have a lively group of 22 Kindergarten students who are eager about learning new things as they explore and learn about the world around them. All of my students are low-academic, low-income, or low language learners. Seven of my students have English as their second language. Due to the challenging circumstances many of my children come from, my classroom has become a safe place for them to come and be encouraged to grow, explore, and change. I want to continue to provide a welcoming environment in my classroom that makes students feel comfortable to take risks, learn from their peers, and develop a love for learning that will remain with them as they grow older.
