I work in the inner city and many of the students in my classroom are English language learners. 50% of my class is in school for the first time and it is my job to give them all of the hands-on learning that a 5 year old needs. 80.5% are on free or reduced price lunch, so asking for them to bring in school supplies is not an option. They are eager to learn and try new things.
