With this project, I want to have 3 ipads with cases and headphones for my students to use throughout our day. I plan on downloading free apps that encourage letter sound and number recognition. In addition, I want to download apps that help beginning readers. My students have home lives that are very different from their peers. There are no iPads or computers available to them. Their experience with technology happens at school. I hope to prepare them for the future because I believe that technology is here to stay. In addition, we are now giving high-stakes assessments via the computer and iPads. I want my students to be prepared to show that they are just as smart as anyone else.
