Kindergarten students love to play. The best way I have found that they learn is by making it a game or a fun activity. Whether it is playing go fish with sight words or matching a number with a ten frame card, they love to find the right answer and help each other along the way. As I have watched my students learn, I have noticed that our classroom is lacking certain hands-on activities. Innovative items like the light table and its manipulatives will allow my students to creatively explore literacy and mathematical concepts in a fun and creative ways. They can explore items in a tangible way and understand concepts better than with paper and pencil.
