My goal is to provide an environment for my students that allows them to focus on learning, empowers them through choice, and supports their physical need to move throughout the day. Flexible seating would provide areas in our classroom for traditional desks, table space for small group collaboration, standing work spots, floor seating, and special chairs that allow students to move without distracting others.
Our learning is dynamic, and our classroom should reflect this as well. For some students, the need to move and wiggle gets in the way of their focus. The Wobble Chairs and Cushions would allow them to address their needs without disturbing those around them. Flexible seating areas allow students to make choices, take responsibility for their learning, and develop self monitoring skills that will benefit them throughout life.
