These Seat Sacks will help my students to learn organizational skills, become responsible for their own materials, as well as simply save time when getting out their materials for learning. It would be such a time saver if my students were able to have their materials right behind them at all times. In the past, my students have had to walk to their cubbies and sort through the various other journals and folders in a small book bin they have to find the one needed for the time being which ends up costing us a lot of learning time as a class.
These Seat Sacks also give students a sense of ownership of their materials and teaches them responsibility.
I believe it is crucial for my students to learn these skills in kindergarten because these by instilling in them these skills now, we are growing organized students which will carry on through out their entire life in school and even past graduation. Students will be excited to make their Seat Sack their own and they will be able to fill it with materials they will use throughout the school year.
