Students at my school are provided Chromebooks as study devices, yet many find it difficult to ignore the siren lure of their cell phones. I spend much of my day asking students to put their phones away. I lamented this at a recent educational technology conference and someone told me about the cell phone charging stations they had in every room at their school. Students come into the classroom and plug their phones into the charging station and then the phone are not easily at hand to be distracting, but still safely secured. I love the idea and want one for us.
