My students come from all walks of life. I have kiddos being raised by mother and father together, single mothers, single fathers, grandparents, and foster parents. Many of my babies come very low incomes and don't have a lot. We have several students who are tardy or miss a lot of school for many different reasons. Our school as a whole is a health and fitness magnet and we are trying to educate our students and our families how important being healthy is and how to do that. Along with poverty comes children who don't get that extra literacy boost outside of school that they need to make learning achievable, fun, and something they want to do! We are looking for help to make learning something the kiddos want to come to school and do.
