I teach middle school students with disabilities; their disabilities range from Autism to intellectual Disability. My students are eager and motivated to learn. My students require a lot of structure and organization in order to make progress. I teach in a low socioeconomic community. Students are not exposed to language rich environments that foster reading and literacy. I am working hard to bridge the gap in reading and math for my students.
