My students love to read and wish they had a special place to do so. We currently do not have bookshelves or comfy reading spots and we do not have a way for students to check books out of the library. I would love to be able to update our classroom library with a rug, bookshelves to display our classroom books and an Amazon Fire to allow students to check the books out of the library so they can read them at all times during the day. Reading in a new and inviting space if a great way to motivate those non-readers. Having a new area to read and relax is something my students would love to have. Also, the use of technology will help my students be responsible for the books they check out and in to the library. It will also allow them with more time to read throughout the day by being able to check the books out.
