As a STEM school, we put special emphasis on preparing our students to be college and career ready through the STEM experiences. In order to do this, I give my students many opportunities to develop STEM skills by giving them engineering challenges and by integrating reading, writing, and science. In addition, during their library time (1 hr/wk), they sequence algorithms for Beebots. Using the Beebots once a week does not allow my students enough experience with the robots.
Please help my students gain the practice they need to become proficient Beebot coders! Having a set of 5 Beebots will allow me to work with a small group of students in the classroom setting to further their understanding of coding. These skills will provide a solid base for building future coding skills. The Beebots will go far in engaging my students in these STEM activities and keeping them excited about coming to school.
