Our school serves a diverse group of low income students. We represent many cultural backgrounds and 16 languages. Our staff works hard to meet the physical, emotional, and academic needs of each student. We strive provide a positive, peaceful and encouraging environment where student can learn, grow and thrive. My personal mission is to teach my students to love animals and nature. We closely watched the live bald eagle cam in Big Bear, read about the wild ponies of Chincoteague, studied the endangered animals of the world and created beautiful art work using recycled items to learn about resourcefulness and preservation. We have also had virtual field trips to learn about water conservation, zoo animals, and the native Kumeyaay tribe who has great respect for nature and all of it's resources.
