I teach 7-12th grade science at a public magnet academy in Toledo, OH. I teach 7th/8th grade earth and life science, high school Biology, and high school Physical Science. My goal is to create critical thinkers and independent learners. I work to help my students build their confidence in the sciences while gaining skills that will lead to success once they leave my classroom.
Our students engage in project based learning and are constantly designing and creating as students of a business academy. My projects are to help fuel this creative spark and to bolster the engineering design process.
My students never ceases to amaze me with the determination and creativity. It is a beautiful moment when a student says they never thought they could be successful in science but they are now thriving in the course. I truly appreciate any support of my classroom and feel so fortunate to have access to this platform.
