From the voice of Plato, I welcome you in joining me to allow books to give my students “A soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything”. My desire is for my students to understand how words have power to change the way they think, talk, and analyze things; they will be able to relate to and experience the life lessons of others. With the power of words, my students can be taught about overcoming hardships, understanding love, confronting fear, and facing other unexpected/expected lived-experiences such as COVID that can impact their daily lives personally, professionally, socially, and emotionally. As they journey through books and learn about the struggles, hardships, and triumphs of various characters, my students will come to realize how positive words can build their character and confidence as they deal with their own personal dilemmas. As I inspire them to be empowered through the words and voices of others, I solicit all of you around the world to join me in helping my students to know that, even in a world of chaos and confusion, “THEY MATTER”. Word UP!!!
