Flexible seating gives students the chance to make decisions about their own learning environment. Currently, my students are allowed to move around the room to work on independent work. This products I have selected will provide more opportunities and variety in their seating options to allow them to make effective learning options. They will get to gently get their wiggles out by choosing either the wobble chairs, wobble cushions, or balance balls. This keeps their brains actively paying attention while maintaining physically active. My classroom will have a table that is low to the ground this year so the garden cushions will help them to sit comfortably on the floor.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
