I teach 23 adorable and energetic full-day kindergarten students in a rural, high poverty school district in Pennsylvania. In the past, my classroom has been identified as a model classroom for inclusion by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in conjunction with Include Me From the Start. In this type of classroom you might find typically developing students and students with complex special needs learning alongside one another. It is so very moving to watch the children learn how to be accepting, caring, encouraging, and helpful to their peers, gaining both academic and social skills that will stick with them throughout their lives.
Our school district and community is full of hard working people with large hearts and small disposable incomes. Your donation will help our children believe, achieve, and succeed.
