Breakout EDU is the immersive learning games platform. With these tools, I will be able to build my own Breakout EDU style kits to use in my classroom. These games encourage critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, all while accessing content knowledge. The Breakout EDU kit allows for the facilitation of games where players use teamwork and critical thinking to solve a series of challenging puzzles in order to open the locked box. I will use locks, invisible markers/UV flashlights, safes, and locked boxes, along with storylines, puzzles, and codes which I've integrated into the content of the classroom. There are also games that are shared and already developed on the Breakout Edu site and in various Breakout Edu user groups on social media. In the game, students are introduced to a problem that invites them to grapple with puzzles and challenges in order to unlock related locks. Students must work as a team in order to ultimately open the final lock and solve the game. Our world demands that people are skilled collaborators, problem-solvers, critical-thinkers, who can persevere through challenges. This game allows for students to improve these skills, while also learning required content
