How you feel affects how you learn. Coming back into the classroom after two school years at home, students need to feel welcomed into the classroom. As we focus more on the social/emotional learning of our students, there is a need for advances to the classroom environment. Each week we have a lesson geared towards social/emotional learning. The goal of these lessons is to allow students to learn skills that help them engage in positive experiences with their peers as well as get reacclimated to socializing with others after being separated during the pandemic. The materials I am requesting will help my students feel more comfortable during discussions for these lessons. We will have a place away from the tables and desks to collaborate (class rug) and also be able to print in our classroom with a new printer so that we don't have to wait for certain materials from the lessons. Also, being able to get materials from teacher pay teachers will help to keep the lessons more fun and engaging. As we work together and collaborate, we always want to keep our health in mind so the disinfectant spray will be used to sanitize the collaboration space afterwards.
