Our fourth grade class consists of 17 students with a variety of abilities. We have recently adopted a new routine to engage students in active reading more often. We practice five stations daily (read to self, buddy reading, listen to reading, work on writing, and word study) along with differentiated guided reading groups. Along with this comes the digital learning that we are craving. The students' ability to stay focused on active reading when technology is present is through the roof. Studies show when technology is present, the engagement of students skyrockets. Technology-based and hands-on learning are key to intense engagement. The funding at our school is not able to reach out to individual classrooms in order to help with these needs. That's why we need your help!
