Our school is in its first year of existence. We are a neighborhood school situated in a booming suburb in southeast Georgia. We having an enormous population of very diverse students. My class is a group of lively and curious third grade students within this ever-expanding 3-8 school. Due to the school's rapid and unexpected growth over the past two years, teachers have had trouble receiving the much needed resources that they need. I am one of these teachers seeking-out resources to better explain scientific ideas, bring math skills and concepts to life, and make reading and language arts more fun and interactive for ALL students in my class. I believe that the more fun and interactive learning is for young children, the deeper and longer-lasting the connections are in the brain. I feel that this translates into lifelong learning.
