The 30 fourth graders that greet me each morning are amazing. They inspire me, they want to learn, and they try so hard. Given the rigors of National and State Standards, children are expected to master a myriad of concepts with no real personal connection to what they are learning. I want each child that enters my classroom to be given the tools to help them achieve their greatest potential. Our school is a mixture of socioeconomic levels with a growing deficit. We have an approx. 40% poverty level at our school.
