Let's face it. Research has shown what music can do with people's productivity. For example, music not only motivates adults who exercise but there's an increase in their exercise performance.
Music and productivity go hand in hand in my classroom. My students work better on individual research assignments in the computer lab if they're listening to music. What we don't have a lot of is a supply of good headphones. Most of my students can't afford headphones and are at a disadvantage if they're in the computer lab without them.
Another need for the headphones directly relate to projects that require students to listen/watch video assignments or look up any video related news articles for their projects. They need to be able to hear these videos without interrupting their peers.
People take it for granted and assume that all schools receive the same resources as others. Please remember that all schools are not funded equally. Help us out and give some of these students some headphones.
