I am an Explorations Educator in the Cumberland Valley School District for grades 1-5. What does that mean? It means I facilitate 21st century learning through the 4Cs, STEM, coding, Makerspace, etc... We work with a growth mindset and allow the students to "explore" new ways to solve problems and work creatively. Learning is embedded into the exploration aspect of my class. We engage in activities that range from high-tech to very low-tech. At times, students have a specific task they are working on, but, at other times, students may have an open-ended time to work on something that they find interesting or have a passion about. I love being able to work with these students in this environment!
