Each year my students are curious, resilient, and creative. Every year I think this is my best class, and it never fails, the next year is the best again. This year is no different!
The students I have in my class each year come from underserved and at risk families. Together, the students and I, construct project based learning opportunities all year long. This year my students have been studying the Chemistry of Cooking for many months. We have begun researching where some of our ingredients come from and how people from different cultures use them. My students have even extended their learning to their own community here at our school by making food and writing recipes to share with other classes and teachers.
Like every year, we are helping each child to reach their full potential.
