I would like to give all of my students an opportunity to learn to ride a tricycle. During recess they enjoy the playground and the grass area with no bikes to ride. They will learn how ride a trike, learn to share and take turns. This will enhance my students' gross motor skills and create opportunities for appropriate play environment, not only on the playground but also in the classroom setting.
The trikes will set the the tone for appropriate play and learning to take turns.
Gross motor play is so very important for Pre-k students. Developing gross motor skills are important to enable children to perform every day functions such as walking, running and climbing.
This will enhance the environment not only in the on the playground but also in the classroom.
