Standing in front of a group of autistic students and expecting to lecture them into learning is not only impossible but extremely difficult as they will just not be engaged. The question is "How do I get them engaged?" The answer is Center Rotations. Most of my students need a lot of repetition in order to learn, maintain and generalize a skill. This can be effectively done by using Centers. Not only can they solidify learning through this means, but it also gives them the chance to be independent. Language Instant Learning Centers is an excellent choice as it helps build beginning language skills which most of my students need and also fosters independent learning.
