Imagine a classroom where every student is fully engaged in their learning. Students are sitting on wobble stools, balance balls, bean bag seats in the floor, and other types of seating options, as compared to the traditional desk and chair. Students are able to have a space of their choosing, which allows them to take charge of their learning. By incorporating flexible seating, I am able to provide options for students who struggle completing tasks by sitting in their traditional seats. Flexible seating provides the ultimate student collaboration experience because students make their own choice in where they sit in my classroom. Making their classroom seem more welcoming and they have a say in their learning.
When given a choice of where to work, students are more engaged and are less disruptive of others.
The products that I have selected will help my students improve their reading comprehension skills, math skills, and so much more by providing them with additional seating options. The balance balls and wobble stools will allow students to get their wiggles out. These options for seating will allow them to focus on learning rather than being distracted by their tendencies to get out of their seats and move around the room. Students feel comfortable while learning and are more focused because of their comfort levels.
I have seen how flexible seating positively impacts students’ learning. I know these additional seating options will help us become successful learners.
By giving enough flexible seating options so that EVERY student can sit in a comfy spot will make it more inclusive. Making sure no one feels left out.
