I teach 650 wonderful kindergartens through 8th-grade artists in a diverse, urban public school. Our school is a community, and our staff wants the very best for each student who walks through our doors. Our administration, neighborhood, parents, and staff dreamed of bringing an art program to our students for many years. Now in our 8th year, our visual art program has produced thousands of little masterpieces from students who love experimenting with paint, markers, clay, etc. We now host an annual, school-wide gallery week, have selected students represented in city-wide art shows and our first ever entry into the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. My students deserve a top-notch art program, with all the tools and materials necessary to open their eyes to new skills and ideas! By supporting my teacher page and projects, you can help build the program these artists deserve!
