I work in a moderate to severe Special Day Classroom with 11 amazing students with various disabilities and health needs including Autism, Orthopedic Impairment, Visually Impaired, Intellectual Disabilities and more. Our special group of students have many special gifts, including their thirst for knowledge, perseverance and positive attitudes. I am fortunate to be their teacher, see them learn new concepts, see them finally understand or complete a task that has taken months or even years. My students all learn at a different pace, with different tools and specialized instruction. We try to incorporate as much technology as possible to make learning fun and meaningful.
