The school in which I teach is an alternative K-8 school for students with severe emotional disorders. All of the students in our building are in Special Education. We have a percentage of 87% economically disadvantaged students.
My students come in every day smiling and ready to learn even through the challenges they face.
Our school is a positive, warm, safe, and inviting environment for our students. As a staff, we have been trained to be therapeutic setting in which we strive to meet each students individualized needs. We celebrate each and every success no matter how big or small.
