Our school has 587 students of which 96% are economically disadvantaged. I currently teach in a Second Grade Bilingual classroom, teaching Reading Language Arts, Science and Social Studies to 36 English Language Learner (ELLs) at-risk students. My students are very sweet, respectful, smart and hardworking. They have the desire to learn more everyday but they have limited resources at home and school. As a teacher of ELLs with limited resources, I started looking for new and better ways to teach and prepare them for their future.
