Many of the children in my classroom are hands-on visual learners. They have to be able to see it and touch it in order to retain the information. Many of the children in my classroom don't have the basic necessities (running water, hot/cold water, electricity, and even food). The school where I am located is a Title 1 school meaning that the majority of the students here qualify for free or reduced lunch prices. Because of the high level of poverty, all students in my school receive free breakfast and lunch and many of the students receive food to take home over the weekend.
My students are all eager to learn despite the unfortunate circumstances many of them come from .
