I am excited to be teaching 2nd graders this year and introducing them to a new way of reading books, completing assignments, and researching a topic. I am looking forward to incorporating tablets into my classroom. My students will be using the tablets to scan QR codes, which will give them access to articles, videos, or books. I will be embedding many QR codes into my lessons this year, which will give my student access to reading books that they love online, researching information animals or people in history, or creating their own projects that they will be presenting to their classmates. My students will be thrilled to be able to read a book or research a project with just a scan. The use of tablets will help my students become more technology based. Students love technology and using QR codes will enhance their learning and ability to access valuable information that they need to be successful in 2nd grade.
