I have 26 enthusiastic children in my kindergarten classroom at Hidden Hills Elementary School in San Ramon, CA. Even though, they have diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds, all of our families place a very high value on education. Our school has 700 students, who share our limited resources. School wide, there is a focus on 21st Century Learning as we implement the Common Core State Standards. Our students are being taught import study habits and life skills like critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, networking, communication, curiosity, and imagination. Kindergarten students can get a start on these skills through the use of mindfulness, growth mindset, the arts and technology.

About my class
