I am starting my second semester teaching 9th and 10th grade Geometry. One major challenge my students face is organization. Many students lose assignments or forget assignment due dates. I am implementing a binder organization policy for all students to try and remedy this. It will aid students in finding class notes and assignments and give students a grade incentive for keeping track of homework and project due dates. Students will use binder dividers and Geometry specific binders to organize their assignments.
Many students do not have access to a binder specifically for this class or binder dividers. I would like all students to have equal access to these resources to learn valuable, lifelong organizational skills.
