The students in my class have special needs. They have difficulty with reading fluency and comprehension. They are seventh and eighth grades who read on a variety of reading levels, from preschool through grade 4. Our school is a public school in WV. The majority of the students are from low socioeconomic families that also have deficiencies in literacy. My plan is to capture the students interest to help inspire their families to become engaged also.
