The Fire tablets will make a tremendous difference in the learning that takes place in my class. Currently, students share four laptops provided from our grade level cart. We use our laptops to collaborate in groups for virtual experiences and other classroom activities. However, If every student has access to technology it would transform the learning and take it to the next level.
I have gone to many various STEM and technology-based training, and I am excited to utilize the skill and knowledge I have gained to its fullest extent. As such, students will be engaged in activities such as break out rooms, where students will be given clues and problems specific to the standard being taught online. Students will have to navigate through online activities in order to show mastery of the standard. In other instances, students and teacher will screen share information and be able to ask and answer questions with real-time feedback specific to their responses.
My students are innovators that are excited about learning, excited about S.T.E.M., and excited about new technological methods of learning. I truly feel this will engage all students in my classroom and prepare them for the workforce of the 21st century.
