I teach the most talented students in the school- bilingual and multilingual kids. My classroom is a safe place where students can ask questions they may be afraid to ask in other contexts, as well as a room known for "helping" my students to meet the high expectations that are within their reach.
As bilingual and multilingual people, my students do struggle with some skills and the fast-paced curriculum, but they shine when they make connections and solve problems. My job is to help them navigate areas of difficulty and remind them of the power they have as cosmopolitan, international people. This involves developing lessons to target certain skills, as well as assisting them with other projects and assignments.
