My ELITE Scholars of Riverview are loving and engaging students with a strong desire to learn. Our school is currently a "Title 1" school. This means that we serve a very high population of students who live in poverty. My students are also educationally diverse. They learn so differently than their same age, non-disabled peers. In addition to our K-8 school being a diversely high-needs school, my special education students have various disabilities including Learning Disabled, Emotionally Disturbed, Speech and/or Language Impaired, and Other Health Impaired. Within these classifications, many of my students also have a diagnosis of ADHD. My sincerest desire is to show my students that they have the ability to grow beyond their current situation.
