The primary focus in my classroom is connecting the curriculum with technology. Having devices that allow the class to collaborate on group assignments effectively and will support a decrease in student deficits. Not only will I teach my students, but each student will have a chance to teach and learn from one another.
My classroom is a project-based learning environment which requires hands-on integrated technology. Due to the large classroom sizes and insufficient or outdated technology, it is infrequent that we can all utilize computers or other technology devices simultaneously. A circumstance such as this serves a considerable amount of disservice and inconvenience in the classroom. Especially during the instructional period, when critical learning and needed interventions are taking place. Technology will encourage students to engage, inquire, and participate in the lessons actively.
The touchscreen capabilities will allow more creativity with current and new programs that enhance the learning process. As a whole, personalized deficits will be addressed due to instructional improvements via Chromebooks. Resulting in cognitive growth and social-emotional needs met.
