Greetings! I teach 3rd grade, a English dual-langauge class in an inner-city school. The school demograhics are primarily latino students and the school is in a high poverty area. I have been teaching for 15 years. My students inspire me every day with their eagerness and willingness to learn. Everyday, they encourage me to work hard and be creative. This new year, I am focusing on developing and expanding my student's technology experiences in the classroom. My students have a socioeconomic disadvantage from other peers in urban ditricts and other districts surrounding their community. Teaching in a low socioeconomic area, most of my students don't get the technology experiences or tools they need to compete with other school districts to help them achieve academic and personal success. I ask you to explore my class project in hopes that you will consider funding my technology-based project.
