My students do not have access to the basic technology that is out in the world. They live in an inner city with a high crime rate. They are able to get to the computer lab 2 hours a month, and we spend most of our time learning how to use a mouse and type on a keyboard. These kids have worked hard to master basic math and reading skills and now with the right tools they can use those skills to see what else the world has to offer.
