Walking into my classroom each day feels like walking into my own home. Our classroom really is a big family. The kids never cease to put a smile on my face, even on the days they drive me crazy. We crack jokes and then we put our heads down and work hard when its time to. I try hard to make our classroom a place every student wants to come to each day, even if it means spending hours turning our classroom into a pumpkin farm in the fall, Cupid's hideout in February, a snowy wonderland in winter, or a tulip patch in the spring. I try to make sure our room matches the tone and energy I want the kids to feel when they walk in; I want our room to be warm, uplifting, and positive.
My students are amazing. They are eager, creative, and innovative. They are deserving. It's my responsibility to make sure they stay engaged and have fun learning, and that could often come at great co$t, which is what brings me here!
