As a teacher in low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges my kindergarteners face, my main goal is to provide a fun, save, engaging classroom environment, where my students will develop into critical and creative thinkers. As my students begin Kindergarten, it is my job to help build them up and help them create a positive growth mindset in believing in themselves. Every day we do our college chant and I tell them they can be anything they want to be when they grow up.
