My classroom includes diverse learners who bring a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and developmental levels to our community. The class includes students who are English Language Learners, children with IEPs or speech and language services, and others who have had limited exposure to structured preschool settings. Some students enter with strong foundational skills in early literacy and numeracy, while others are still developing basic language and self-regulation abilities. Social-emotional development varies widely, with some children confidently navigating peer relationships and others learning how to express needs, manage big emotions, and resolve conflicts. This diversity enriches our learning environment and informs my use of differentiated, play-based instruction and trauma-informed practices that honor the unique strengths and needs of each child.
