I want to convert to seating which research shows benefits many with ADD and OT issues, which lends itself to group work and doesn't stay stationary. I want to offer choice to students in grade two to help them learn how they best learn.
A flower shaped table allows many to sit together as a group, and the balls and wobble chairs will move with students. Less, but more effective seating will be required than in a traditional classroom. These are options which will compliment mats, stand up and carpet work areas, and a Node desk already in my classroom.
