These two laptops will provide an opportunity for students to actively engage with technology on a daily basis. They will make a difference in students lives by allowing them to conduct research, play educational games, take online assessments, and blog with students around the world. Students will be able to read books and articles online, write stories online, listen to music, view videos, solve real-world mathematical problems, as well as develop proficient keyboarding/typing skills by using these materials. It is imperative that students become technologically proficient in a globally competitive society. Having access to these laptops will enable students to use online study guides and resources, as well as keep abreast of new advancements in technology. Students can use the devices to design their own group or individual STEM projects and drawings by integrating technology into standards-based classroom instruction. Some of my students do not have computers or Internet at home, which limits their ability to complete online homework assignments. These two laptops will "make the playing field even," so to speak by allowing them to do work in class. My students and I would be so appreciative if you could please donate to our class project. Seeing my students smile with joy as they use these laptops to increase student achievement and student learning would be the greatest gift that a teacher could wish for. After all, our goal as teachers is to prepare our learners to be successful by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to be college and real-world ready.
